An RF/microwave power divider/combiner can split an input signal into two identical signals or combine two inputs into a single output. For power combining applications, isolation between input ports is the most important specification. For power splitting applications phase balance, amplitude balance, insertion loss, and return loss are more important. Dividers will typically operate across a broader bandwidth than combiners.
