Attenuators

All microwave engineers know: packaging is hard! Even a simple component like an attenuator degrades quickly when placed into a module with connectors. Combining decades of microwave assembly experience with advanced MMIC designs, Marki Microwave has crafted high performance coaxial attenuators operating to 110 GHz with improved reliability and lower pricing than any other solution on the market.
With precision-grade attenuation accuracy and VSWR from DC to 110 GHz, Marki attenuators are the optimal solution for signal attenuation and VSWR matching for applications such as automotive radar, emerging 5G bands and wireless backhaul. Available in multiple attenuation values and connector options, each unit is serialized and shipped with production test data.

Adapters

2.92mm to 2.92mm connectors and 2.4mm to 2.4mm connectors use a well matched, low insertion loss construction that operates up to 50GHz. Connectors are available with female to female, female to male, and male to male configurations.

DC Blocks

Marki DC blocks use a unique and innovative construction technique to provide superior return loss and insertion loss comparable to an adapter to very high frequency. These DC blocks have the same form factor as Marki’s convenient jacketed adapters. A DC block is half of a bias tee: it blocks the DC on an RF signal line, but does not provide the option to add a new DC bias to it. Use of a bias tee with an unconnected DC port is functionally equivalent to a DC block at RF frequencies. Important specifications are insertion loss and return loss, especially at high frequency.

Limiters

RF limiters are passive low cost integrated circuits used to protect expensive, power sensitive front-end components such as amplifiers and high frequency ADCs. Our DLM series limiters feature a tunable bias voltage which adjusts the maximum power allowed to be output from the limiter, and are suitable for low power applications such as ADC interfaces. Our HLM series are fixed limiters that handle much higher input powers and are optimized to provide high linearity. Currently the DLM series are available in a QFN package or evaluation module, and the HLM series are available as bare die or connectorized module.

Thumbwheel

Thumbwheels provide a wrenchless method of quickly torquing down RF/microwave test equipment. Thumbwheels are mounted around the male jacket of all standard RF connectors and adapters. They are secured with 3 0.050″ hex screws providing a friction based grip for securing male connectors.
