The marketplace is full of narrowband components that only target specific applications such as SATCOM, wireless point-to-point, or perhaps just one of the 5G bands; and they may only be available with inconvenient waveguide interfaces. However, at Marki Microwave we design our components to maintain the highest performance over extremely wide bandwidths, often supporting all proposed 5G and millimeter wave bands in single devices. We have a wide selection of bare die, surface mount, and coaxial-connectorized solutions to support all of your millimeter-wave design and testing needs.
5G networks are ushering in a new era of connectivity, providing unprecedented capacity and data rates by utilizing the latest waveform modulation and antenna beamforming techniques. Currently the 28GHz and 39GHz bands provide the necessary bandwidth to make this all possible. Meanwhile bands from 40 GHz to 71 GHz, with bandwidths as wide as 14GHz, are currently being discussed. This is in stark contrast to the 4G era where 6GHz represented the top end of the spectrum!
The sub-6GHz band is not going away, and in fact is critical to the success of 5G serving as the backbone for the majority of networks. Marki Microwave has a large selection of components that cover this band along with wider bandwidths to support harmonic testing.
The 60GHz band, with 14GHz of available bandwidth, is being utilized for a variety of applications including 5G, point-to-point, WiGig (801.11ad, 802.11ay), and industrial sensors for robotics and factory automation. For years Marki Microwave has been a trusted source for high-volume commercial and rigorous hi-rel applications. We’re proud to now service the space market with in-house space qualification of our GaAs MMIC die. Our qualification test plan is derived straight from MIL-PRF-38534, Appendix C, Table C-II to ensure a consistent process that provides fast quotes, predictable lead times, and high quality results. We include detailed data packets with both our Class H and Class K qualifications. Currently we offer over 70 MMIC products that can be space-qualified, and this list continues to grow.
